The Reaper Rig XL – Bare is designed for trolling large dead baits with a natural, stable swimming action aimed at bigger offshore predators. Built for baitfish in the 30–45 cm (11–18 in) range, it gives anglers a secure and efficient way to present oversized baits without unwanted spinning.

Its signature stainless steel scythe system locks the bait firmly in place, helping maintain a consistent swimming action at trolling speeds of approximately 2–4 knots. Depending on speed and setback distance, the rig can run around 1–3 m (3–10 ft) below the surface, keeping large baits in an effective strike zone.

This bare version is supplied without hooks, allowing anglers to customise the terminal tackle and hook configuration to suit their target species and preferred fishing style.
