PENN Squall II Boat Rod
The PENN Squall II boat rod range is built for demanding offshore fishing, combining the durability of a tubular fiberglass blank with a solid glass tip for strength, forgiveness, and reliable fish-fighting performance.
Designed for trolling, drifting, deep-drop fishing, and stand-up battles, the Squall II keeps consistent pressure on powerful fish while remaining tough enough for repeated offshore use. Both models feature secure reel seats, triangle-shaped EVA foregrips that help reduce rod rotation under load, and aluminium gimbals for added stability.
The 20–50 lb model is the more versatile option for general boat fishing and lighter offshore trolling, using SeaGuide aluminium oxide guides and a slick butt for easy removal from rod holders.
The 60–130 lb Roller model is built for heavier big-game applications, with PacBay roller guides, a machined aluminium reel seat, and an aluminium bent butt for increased leverage when fighting powerful fish such as tuna, amberjack, and dogtooth.
